During Summer of 2025, the EPA extended major compliance deadlines for air regulations (NSPS, OOOOb/c), these have been finalized effective Dec 3, 2025:
⏳ Finalized deadlines:
- May 2026 (180-day extension past the Nov 2025 deadline): for net heating value monitoring & alternative flare/enclosed combustion device performance tests, but the 95% reduction requirement stayed in effect.
- Nov 2026 (360 day extension from the final rule’s effective date): for initial OOOOb annual reports; however, future reports remain due within 90 days after each annual compliance period.
- Jan 2027 (18-month extension): for leak repairs, closed vent systems, storage vessels, process controllers, and the state OOOOc plans and Super Emitter Program.
These extensions = more breathing room for planning, but compliance isn’t optional.
